Stackhouse Poland Acquires David Fangen Ltd and W Burch & Son Ltd
Stackhouse Poland has cemented its position as one of the country’s leading independent insurance brokers with its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of David Fangen Holdings Ltd, which includes David Fangen Ltd (based in London) and W Burch & Son Ltd (High Wycombe), effective from 1st June.
This concludes a busy first half of 2008 for the company, which in March also acquired the specialist Private Medical insurance broker Healthcare Management Company, based in Stevenage.
This means that Stackhouse Poland now controls in excess of £40 million of gross written premiums through its 90 staff operating from 5 locations in the South East. In addition the company has two specialist joint venture companies, Green Park Insurance Services and HFM Columbus Insurance Services, specialising in the provision of insurance to wealthy private clients and commercial property owners.
David Fangen, the majority shareholder and Managing Director of David Fangen Holdings said, “It was important as I was looking to pass the mantle of the organisation over, that I and my fellow directors felt confident our clients would continue to enjoy the same level of personal service and advice. David Fangen and Mark Shand (currently Director of W Burch & Son Ltd) will join the Stackhouse Poland Ltd board with immediate effect.
